Thought Compass provides programs to clients looking to gain skills and awareness in areas such as social awareness, positive self-image, resilience and future directions.

Programs are run for a set period and can be arranged through a self-referral or a referral from the client's support coordinator.

The Resilience Doughnut

I am: Mindfulness

Best suited for: Adults
Duration: 8 Sessions
Platform: In Person

This program’s intention is to introduce participants to the practice of mindfulness on a theoretical and practical level to allow them to develop the skills necessary to integrate the practice into their daily lives. By breaking mindfulness down into its key elements and allowing participants to have a space to practise and explore its underlying mechanisms, the program aims to provide participants with a different perspective on reality, allowing them to better focus on the present moment by being better able to regulate their thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

I can: Employable You

Best suited for: 14 to 25 years old
Duration: 6 Sessions
Platform: In Person


​This program’s intended purpose is to assist participants in developing the foundational skills necessary to successfully attain and maintain employment. By providing knowledge regarding topics including building resumes, preparing for interviews and balancing commitments, alongside a space for participants to put this knowledge into practice, the program aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to take the next step in their employment journey.

I have: Money Foundations

​Inspired by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission’s Moneysmart project, this program intends to provide participants with the building blocks necessary to manage financial resources effectively. By promoting habitual behaviours, such as budgeting and saving, and disseminating knowledge surrounding topics such as debt and investments, the program aims to assist participants in creating the foundations necessary for a financially secure future.

I have: Activity Based Learning 

Best suited for: All Ages (assigned age groups)
Duration: 10 weeks
Platform: Mixed - Studio & Local Parkland


​This program incorporates experiential learning into its design to encourage independent learning through active participation in a combination of STEM-based, fitness-based and teamwork-based activities that revolve around different topics each week. By allowing participants to be in charge of their own learning, the program aims to provide participants with the opportunity to develop transferable skills such as problem solving, analytical thinking, creativity, innovation and team collaboration.

I am: Goals & Direction

Best suited for: 14 to 25 years old
Duration: 3 sessions
Platform: In Person

​This program intends to introduce participants to the concept of goal setting through the use of the SMART model. By supporting participants in understanding the purpose of goal setting and aiding them with applying it to their own personal aspirations, the program aims to provide participants with a fundamental skill that can be used to propel themselves, with purpose, into the future.
